Fintry Estates, have been granted preferred developer status for this strategically important site on the eastern outskirts of Falkirk. Responding to a request for developers by Avison Young on behalf of Falkirk Council, Fintry Estates, advised by Biggart & Co, were successful in beating off national competition to secure this position.
The total site area extending to approximately 27 acres will form the eastern gateway to the town of Falkirk lying adjacent to the Falkirk Stadium, home of Falkirk FC and the world famous Kelpies and Helix Park, which now attract in excess of 1.5 million visitors per year.
In conjunction with Hargreaves Land, Fintry will be developing a range of approximately 200,000 sqft of leisure and retail units together with 200 social housing units.
Discussions are ongoing with a number of national operators which will inform a planning application which will be submitted in late 2019.
