Overview

In 2018 Fintry beat off competition from other developers to secure the old coach park in Bridlington from East Riding County Council. The site totals around 3.5 acres to which we have added a further 0.75 acres from Network Rail. It is bounded to the North by Bridlington Railway station, which is a listed building, to the South by Hilderthorpe Road and a Tesco store is immediately to the East.

The scheme totals approx. 44,000 sq ft of retail space and we are in the process of securing 40,000sq ft of prelets to Lidl, Poundstrecher and Iceland/Food Warehouse.

The design has been carefully thought through and reflects the sensitive nature of the site being adjacent to the listed Railway Station building. We have liaised extensively both with the planning authority and local stakeholders to ensure we fully respect the immediate environment of the site. The public consultation event was extremely well attended and attracted widespread support. We anticipate that a planning application will be submitted in May 2019 and would expect to have a decision in September 2019. With a positive result the development will open for business in the third quarter of 2020.

The total investment for the development is around £10m and it is expected to create around 200 jobs.
